Confederate Flag Meaning

The Confederate flag was used by some Confederate Army Units especially from the South. It was also known as the 'Rebel' or 'Dixie' flag which was more often than not confused and misinterpreted with the first National flag called as the 'Stars and Bars', though ironically the Stars and Bars has a completely different design as compared to the rectangular Confederate flag. The Confederate flag meaning has been a taboo for generations the USA, as many believe it represents 'White Supremacy', pro racism, slavery and hatred. Let us unravel the true meaning of the confederate flag and its mysteries.

Confederate Flag History
In order to know the actual Confederate flag meaning, it is necessary to understand why the Confederates needed to create a separate group. It all began with the presidential elections of 1860 when Abraham Lincoln and his Republican party campaigned for slavery to be curtailed and desist its expansion beyond the states in which slavery already existed. When the Republicans won the elections that year, 7 Southern states declared their rebellion against the anti slavery campaign. Colombia was the first state to declare it non-conformation against the anti slavery campaign, though this act was a combination of rebellion against the Northern stated from trying to enforce their overall political dominance upon the Southern states in general. They seceded before Abraham Lincoln took up the presidential office on March 4, 1861, this led to both the new president as well as the ex president James Buchanan to declare the act of the Southern states as violative of the US constitution and therefore illegal.

The concept of the confederate flag symbolism as depicted on the first Confederate flag (1862-1863) was to show the secession of the 11 Southern states from the Union and its declaration of unity to the Confederate. Later on 2 more states joined and the flag's design had to be changed, it took up the new design of the blue cross or X with 13 white stars in (1863-1865). The Confederate flag meaning was clear from the thirteen stars, which in actuality represented the total number of seceded Southern states or colonies, while the blue X represented their unified act of secession from the Union and other Northern states. This final act of rebellion is what led to the American Civil War from 1861 to 1865 which has been engraved as a part of its history. The Civil war was between all the Free states in the Union vs the Confederate States of America which was led by Senator Jefferson Davis who remained the president of the Confederate till the end of his time.

Though the Confederates lost the Civil war, it regained some minor popularity during the World War II. The flag became a local emblem among southern military units, for example one of the 26 United States Navy Cleveland-class light cruisers the USS Columbia (CL-56) adorned the Confederate flag as a battle insignia during the entire South Pacific war. This was done to pay tribute to the state of Columbia. This incident and a few more made the government declare that such acts were inappropriate and should not be practiced. The reason being firstly that the Confederate could not be used in place of the American flag. Secondly that the entire country was unitedly fighting in the World War II and not individual states who were exploiting and twisting the Confederate flag meaning to portray patriotism.

Controversy of the Confederate Flag
In modern times many Southerners still use the flag as they believe it represents the distinct development and uniqueness of the Southern culture. They believe its a part of their right to free speech and expression. Though the collateral damage the Confederate flag being displayed is that some feel disrespected and targeted racially. Symbols of the Confederacy are still in use and have become an issue of dispute that crops up every now and then across the United States. In the 1990s many Southern state legislatures attempted to allow the use of the Confederate flag as a part of its political and civic heritage as they consider it a part of the American history and do not view the flag as a representation of racism or any form of superiority.

Confederate Flag Meaning in Abroad
You would be surprised to know that the Confederate flag is often used as a symbol for culture and to display love for one's country. In Canada it is often used in Alberta. While in UK is represents the love for the American way of life, country music and line dancing. In Sweden the flag is the insignia of the 'Raggare' people who love to drive American auto mobiles and often follow their culture and lifestyle which is inspired from the 1940's to 1960's generation.

The Confederate flag meaning has been interpreted differently by different communities as well as different countries but the fact remains that it is still in use because it invokes strong emotional feelings. Whether positive or not may not be the defining issue. Many believe that the flag of Alabama, the recently changed flag of Georgia and the present flag of Mississippi are influenced by the Confederate flag. The flag of Mississippi represents the actual Confederate X on it, along with the blue, white and red stripes as the background. Though this flag was the choice of the citizens of Mississippi and the United States ratified their unified decision.

    10. Not only did rich black people own slaves, but most were sold to us by the African leader. He sold his people.
But the point is, this flag doesn't mean racism is ok, it doesn't mean that those who fly this flag are racists, or their ancestors owned slaves, and it doesn't mean they're going to walk into a church and shoot a bunch of black people either. They're proud of where they came from, and are showing it. The sensitivity of this country has become too much. After we conquered and killed Native Americans, good start to founding a country, we made it into a melting pot, and that is what it should remain. We have freedom of speech (and we should seriously be censoring ourselves, we need to get along better as a whole!!! Holy crap!!!) therefor flying a flag that we're proud of should be allowed...

    12. The Confederate flags ain't got shit to do with racism or slavery. Slavery ain't why the civil war came about it was because the south didn't want big government or industrialized they wanted to work the land and do things that the north didn't want. And it wasn't until almost the end of the war that Lincoln wanted to get ride of slavery and he personally didn't want it gone he did it cause he wanted to look good. So yall go do some more research and then you might be able to talk about my flag and my heritage THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN and the north will be by our side this time

I agree about the right to fly whatever flag you want and I agree the flag has nothing to do with racism... but this whole "the south will rise again" thing is stupid. It's called the UNITED states of America the fact that people are even thinking about succeeding and starting another civil war is beyond shameful. We should be working together not trying to tear this great country apart sure it's not perfect but it's better to try new work together on these problems instead of throwing a hissy and jumping ship just cause things aren't going your way. Suck it up and fight for change without tearing our country apart. We have enough problems without having to worry about insurrection in our own backyard

Human trafficking of our young girls all over the world is unreal. Though "We the People" choose to bicker over the past instead of what's going on today. Yes, the South had a money making crop and needed cheap labor, Slaves. Which was introduced to them by the Norther Colonies. But then again, the North wanted all this cotton because they were industrialize. Yes, slavery was the root cause of the Civil War, but keep in mind, not all Southern people owned slaves. You had those that believe each State had the right to govern themselves, not the Federal Government. Keep in mind, we're still a new Country that has just received its independence from the British Rule. Right or Wrong, people fought for their beliefs. The Confederate Flag should only fly at a Confederate Memorial. If States don't won't to offer license plates displaying the flag then that's OK. Let's keep it as a memorial to those that fought. If you want to display one on your car or fly one it your yard. It's your choice. I see Mexican flag tags on the front of cars all the time and I'm against illegal imagination but it doesn't bother me. Not all are illegal just like all that fly the Confederate Flag do so for the wrong reasons.

I personally think that if everyone could look beyond their feelings things would be a lot better, because whether any of us like it or not everyone has feelings, everyone has a family, and everyone should worry about that instead of what others think. 7. Read the book "The South was Right" for much more insight as to what the Confederate flag symbolizes to many of Southerners who ancestors fought and died for their cause of living in their "God-given homeland" as they saw fit. No one had the right to take that away from them. It explains the large group of Southerners who consider themselves "Southern Re-constructionists" who believe that the fourteenth amendment of equal protection under the law doesn't apply to them (especially South Carolina) as they were not part of the union when it was passed by Congress. They believe in state sovereignty above all. The federal gov should not have power over the will of the state. That's why the confederate flag was not lowered to half mast in Columbia, SC. It is a strong symbol for their belief in state sovereignty. Bringing it down or lowering it would denigrate the cause their ancestors fought and died for and what they hold so sacred. They are at every level of government and power as the book describes. They don't want to share that power w/ minorities who were never intended to live as free men in the God-given homeland. Ask Lindsay Graham why he said on CNN about the Charleston shootings "How do we re-construct America after the Civil War"? Many might find that an unusual comment under the circumstances. His base did not. He was speaking their lingo. I am a "yankee" who has lived in South Carolina and Georgia for 30 years. I know these people and they have explained their belief system to me. They should just be honest and explain it to the rest of America now. Of course, they will not do that. They have to much to lose. Someone should interview on TV the author of "The South was Right". He'll explain the real belief system of many Southerners. Let them fly their flag, but let Americans know what it really symbolizes to them.

    1. OK, that flag will never symbolize black Americans, it was created for the 13 states that succeeded from the United States of America because they didn't want to free slaves. It was about the southern wealth keeping that wealth (only top 1% of Americans hold that kind of wealth) it was about the cotton and tobacco and southern land owners not wanting to pay for something they were getting for free (labor).. They fought and lost the war!! we live in the United States not the Confederate States. I think if the decedents of british soldiers (they also fought on US soil and lost) had the good ol Union Jack flying over the capitol of a us state that would be considered and outrage. If an other anti US group set up shop on us soil and flew an anti America flag over a US government facility you would be outraged... Now, for how the flag is used in modern times, it is used to incite terror in ethnic Americans ask any black living in the south what that flag means and they will all tell you the same thing.. its a racist flag and flown buy racist folks to let you know where they stand. As for whites who try tell other ethnic groups of people what is and is not offensive to that ethnic group are miss informed and naïve . when blacks look at the confederate flag it holds the same meaning that the swastika holds for Jews. the word swastika means good fortune but that's not how its was use.. and it wasn't good fortune for the six million Jews killed by the Nazi regime.. tell the truth and shame the devil LOL!! about the south being right well I was told that WAR stands for We Are Right.. how it works is both sides believe they are right so they fight and the side that wins was right.. history is told by the victors and the south didn't win lol!! Marie Antoinette, Hitler, Saddama and Osama bin Laden thought they were right. because some fool wrote a book doesn't make him right.. I say, if we let the Confederate flag fly then Al Qaeda can fly its flag over any NY state government building.. They lost lives in NY fighting for what they believe they have a history in NY.... this whole article and your comments show a lack of experience, wisdom, or judgment. I wont be reading anymore comments so don't bother to respond to me, because I choose to believe that Nat Turners ideology was right and not the ideology of some author who wrote a book saying that the US should have keep humans as slaves!

    4. Wow I'm surprised by the idiots on here first off there were more free black men that fought for the Confederacy than in the union granted some were slaves forced to at first that were given their freedom the majority chose to continue fighting on their own accord for the south & most of the ones who did fight for the union were pressed into service. Secondly it was a black man that got slavery legalized in the states from where he didn't want to release an endentured servant who had worked off his debt & yes he too was a black man. Third the majority of wealth was in the north & the majority of the Confederacy didn't own slaves.

      Delete
    5. Actually the new world was not given to the native Americans as well. There was no human presence in North Americans prior to 27000 years ago. The Native Americans migrated from Asia across the Frozen Barring Straight to settle North America therefore they too are immigrants to North America.

And if half you knew the whole history of your so called Rebel Flag the Rebel Flag that is most popular only belong to the Northern Army of Virginia and was knows as the Northern Army of Virginia Battle Flag which was later adopted by all the other flags. It was never a flag for the Confederacy, in fact it was turned down my the Confederate Congress multiple times so it remained an Northern army of Virginia Battle Flag.

My family consists of all colors. I love all people. I have read your information and opinions of the flag and and you have presented some good information. I do however, wonder how many black people realize they were sold by black tribes to Europeans. Black tribes that stole theirAfrican families from other African tribes and also made them their slaves. So the whites are not the first to have blacks slaves .. So when .some Americans decide to call themselves African Americans. They really should just be happy to be Americans and free from all the turmoil going on in Africa. After expressing that, I must say like John Lennon said "all we need is love" :) yes There is much prejudice in the country be it color religion or culture.... Im not part of it .I think energy should be focused on more education and not the flag thing. :)

The term raciest is being thrown around like its going out of style. What is actual racism? Political correctness has gotten so blown out of proportion that I don't think people really know what it mean to be racist. I'm white, yet I've never treated anyone badly or racially. But I do have to endure comments that broadly embrace the "white man" as a racist, hate filled, slave owner! Let me get this straight. Your against hate because of the color of ones skin. Yet you hold the "white man" responsible for the acts of people that had the same skin color. That is text book irony/ ignorance. Hate is Hate is Hate! I get why a black man would hate a white man. the same reason a raped woman might hate men. I don't understand why they don't credit the white men who gave their lives to stop the injustice of slavery, why they still hold every white man responsible. Hate will always be a part of culture but when you don't recognize those that don't; your furthering the negativity your trying to stop!

  10. The flag stands for war. It was flown in time of battle and it never was elected as the flag of the confederate states. It was only design for the civil war. If you are going to tell history then tell it all. People will read only what they want to read in how it stands for their cause. During the civil war, the confederate congress never voted it in as the flag of the Southern states. Again, it was only flown for the Civil War as to distinguish between the North and South. Read the whole history of the design and not what just enhances your fight. The flag was never flown on any of the State capitals during the Civil War.

  12. I think the flag holds a different meaning to different regions obviously & the meanings have evolved over time. For myself and my family - the Confederate flag is a symbol of Southern pride ... not a symbol of any superior race. I'm proud to be from the South, I was born here, I will die here & I will fly the Rebel flag here ... I don't harbor hate against anyone. No one has the right to judge - and if you think a flag causes hate crimes, then you may as well say weapons commit crimes on their own and pencils misspell words on their own ... grow up.

Oh please,,we all know what the flag represents,,,you can mindf&*@ each other all you want with all your analytical BS and vase knowledge of the history of this flag; sugar coat it all you want and find pictures with a person of color glorifying it here and there; none of than changes a thing. Unless you have an IQ that registers in the negative you know exactly what the confederate flag has and always will stand for here in the US. Find another cause to fight,,you'll never win this one. BTW Im a whole new "anonymous" just entered the convo, and I'm leaving it just as quick because I find it to be insulting to most peoples intelligence!

Amen you tell the truth! intelligent people know the true meaning of that flag, hatred and racism and defending slavery. southerners think that they are so much smarter than northerners, that is so funny, when the truth is they are ignorant rednecks living in a world a hundred years behind the times continuing their bigotry against anyone who doesn't think and look like they do. they hate every group except their own, they hide behind the Bible and they hide behind their guns and their flag! any intelligent person can see right through them. It's no wonder they are all Republicans, another group of liars and bigots, brainwashed by a news station that constantly enjoys bashing the president and anyone who doesn't believe as they do. that flag will be removedand the bigots will experience another loss!

The flag for most of us represents our history you may not like it but it does it would be the same if we had a fit about the African flag that many fly at churches and their homes it's ok to us because that is your history your heritage if we started protesting saying it was a symbol of oppression and death it would be wrong. That is a choice to all it does not matter what you think the flag stood for in the civil war none of us are old enough to have been there to know. Stop holding something against us that we had nothing to do with in the first place the flag to us just means Southern pride. Stop being hate mongering fools and let people live there own lives in peace.

We did them a favor, if not for us then they would still be the playing with sticks. Yes we enslaved them, but not all slaves were treated poorly they had a roof over their head and food in their bellies. They were still treated better than where they began. Yes they were punished but most of the time it was when they did something wrong. There were even white slaves in different time periods but you don't see the Irish or scottish complaining.

  25. .....let me just say that the amount of ignorance and hate on this post is almost unbearable...the confederate flag was a battle flag...it was part of the 13 southern states separating themselves from the union entirely. Not just BC they didn't want to free slaves, but BC they REBELLED against the union on EVERYTHING. Non racist people today fly that flag to represent the SOUTH BC its part of SOUTHERN HERITAGE. There are just as many black people that fly that flag as white people. So calling it racist is an invalid, ignorant argument. It stands for rebellion...against whatever you feel you need to rebel against... If that flag is the problem with racism and we must do away with it, we should do away with Jesse Jackson too. Because, let's be honest, he starts more problems with race than that flag ever could. All I'm saying is that if we cracker ass rednecks have to remove our rebel flags because it offends black people, then we should have the right to remove something from black history (like the black panthers or Jesse Jackson) because it offends us right?? Would you ask a native American to remove their dream catchers and beautiful Indian dolls ? No. Would you ask a Jew to remove their Hanukkah symbols BC it offends Christian Christmas? No. Or Hispanics to take down their piñatas' for cinco de mayo? No. Y????? BECAUSE ITS THEIR HISTORY, THEIR HERITAGE, THEIR BELIEFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND!!! ITS NOT WHITE HISTORY, ITS AMERICAN HISTORY. WHICH INCLUDES ALL AMERICANS. WHITE , BLACK, INDIAN AND OTHERWISE. IF YOU ARE AN AMERICAN, AND YOU HAVE READ ANY TYPE OF HISTORY BOOK PUBLISHED BEFORE THE POS POTUS GOT IN OFFICE YOU WOULD KNOW TO WASH THE SAND OUT OF YOUR VAJAYJAY AND MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE. 26. Hypersensitive people suck. Unfortunately there are way too many of them out there now. I was born in the south, grew up in the mid-west, and now live in CO. lived in NC for many years and love the south. I recently had some clown from California attempt to explain to me how racism, slavery, and the Confederate flag were all synonymous. He wasn't having any part of my explanation about what the flag actually means and how most slave/landowner relationships in the south were quite symbiotic. He almost flipped his lid when I told him there are Black folks in the south that still fly the flag. It must be hard for someone like that to know everything even though they don't know squat. Those people will never understand what southern pride is and are too self-absorbed to ever admit they're wrong. Oh, and Neil Young can suck it.

You are the one that needs to learn his history before flapping your gums. you can believe whatever you wanna believe if thats what makes you happy but I know a lot of southerners and not one of them says that that flag stands for Southern pride. so your argument is mute!there is no such thing as southern pride only southern ignorance! the most ignorant people in the nation come from the south look at some of the bozos running for president in the Republican Party!

  31. I love my country, period, plan and simple, but I love my country as a unified 50 states, not as a symbol of when we were north against the south. We fought for freedom against British. We fought to be free and independent. I was born and raised in the south and I believe all man, woman and child should be free. I hear way too often that the civil war was not about slavery. Yes there were other issues, but the fight for freedom of all man, woman and child in the south was the civil was the North's goal. I love my home state of GA, but I do not support and cannot in my heart and sole support flying the confederate flag.

Flags are raised all over the world, some are cartoons, and some have actual meaning, but they are still pieces of cloth. they do not have power. Stop giving power to objects and the power ceases to exist. Why don't we vote in a new American Flag that includes everyone? oh, because it would have to be 1000 ft across. freedom means free. let people fly want they want. Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Until people all think in the same progressive way, with love in our hearts and acceptance for and appreciation of our differences we will continue to have wars and degrade those different from ourselves. No one is telling individuals they cant fly the Confederate flag on private property but it should not be used on a Goverment Building as it is obviously segregating people. It simply doesnt mean the same thing to everyone.

This is America and we should have freedoms to express ourselves how we see fit. There will always be hatred and ugliness, but there will be love too. Keep strong in your own individualism and respect that others have a right to theirs.

I sit here reading some of these comments and I can't help wonder how is it this country as come so far but yet not far enough that people who kill and etc aren't judge by their personality or mental state of mind. Instead we are banning a flag that stands for southern pride. What did the flag do hold a gun to the guy's head and him to kill or be killed. Our founding fathers wanted freedom for this country I ask where is it. We are told what flags we can hang, how we should or should not act. I thought we had freedom to express ourselves. One person actions should not condemn a nation. So in response to this we are calling people names and swearing because we all have different opinions on the confederate flag. Guess what we all will never agree but that doesn't mean we all can't be nice with expressing our opinions and agree to disagree. So keep up the ignorant and swearing and you know what the government wins.

Most still have manners and say good day (may be because I'm British, but go to New York - Not got the time of day for you)

    Racism = Wrong
    Slavery = Wrong

BUT most of the Southern US people I have met see the flag as 'Dixie Pride' and have the INTELLIGENCE to completely divorce this from and race or supremacy issues.

Just a point, from my limited knowledge of American History, the civil war was about far more than slavery, and lets be honest -
    a) here are more people in slavery around the world now than ever were at that time and
    b) most history is a version of events written by the vicor

  41. All I know is what the books tell me I wasn't there and I'm pretty damn sure none if y'all were so therefore we don't know exactly what any if these things mean/stand for. What we do know is what we were taught or told as kids and as adults. Black people are probably mad because the reason given for the rebellion was the anti-salvary laws which to them looks like the south wanted slavery. The whites are mad because they feel blacks make it out to be something it's not but 99.9% of the whites that fly the confederate flag are against blacks period. So really both sides may be ignorant of the history of the flag. We only know what we are taught, what we see, and how we are treated!

  42. The good ol' flag of Dixie was the Second Confederate Navy Jack Flag (1863-1865), also flown as a battle flag by Confederate Army Troops of Northern Virginia. This flag was never officially recognized by the Confederate States of America as one of its national flags. This isn't the Confederate Flag that all of your boys fought under and it’s often mistakenly called the “Stars and Bars”, which was the first Confederate national flag, which looks nothing like the Navy Jack Flag. It's a rejected idea that ended up being flown by the Army of Northern Virginia. The only other instance where a similar flag was used was by the Army of Tennessee under General Joseph E. Johnston whose reputation for retreat was infamous and led to the surrender of 89,270 Confederate soldiers to the Union’s Maj. Gen William T. Sherman which was viewed by Jefferson Davis as an act of treachery. That's hardly a flag to be proud of if you really know your southern history!
The Confederacy actually had three flags, the most popular one being a design almost identical to the US flag, with less stripes, and less stars -- but arranged on a field of blue in a circle.
Known as the “Stars and Bars”, the first Confederate Flag was approved by the Provisional Confederate Congress and first raised over the Capitol Building in Montgomery on the afternoon of March 4th, 1861. Contrary to the myth that it was quickly replaced due to its similarity to the U.S. Flag, several units proudly carried this flag into war until the last days of the Confederacy, not the Confederate Navy Jack Flag you see on the back of pickup trucks harassing little black kids having birthday parties.

The second national flag, “The Stainless Banner” adopted by the official Confederate Flag Act of May 1863, was designed by William T. Thompson, a newspaper editor based in Savannah, Georgia. “Stainless” was in reference to the large white area of the flag’s design. Thompson referred to his design as “The White Man’s Flag” and said that the large area of white symbolized the “supremacy of the white man” and that “As a people we are fighting to maintain the Heaven-ordained supremacy of the white man over the inferior or colored race; a white flag would thus be emblematical of our cause.”
He praised his flags design as symbolizing the Confederacy’s ideology of “a superior race”.
He added in the Savannah Daily Morning News on May 4th, 1863:

“As a national emblem, it is significant of our higher cause, the cause of a superior race, and a higher civilization contending against ignorance, infidelity and barbarism. Another merit in the new flag is that it bears no resemblance to the now ‘infamous banner’ of the ‘Yankee vandals’”.
Elements of the flag were praised such as the upper left corner of the design which was referred to as “The Southern Cross” which embodied “the destiny of the Southern master and his African slave” as articulated by George William Bagby. That design was the "Confederate Flag you see today, so it's VERY evident that the design of the flag is in direct reference to SLAVERY ... NOT PRIDE IN AN INNOCENT COLORBLIND SOUTHERN HERITAGE that southern boys fought and died for. If you want to honor those who fought and died, erect a monument to respect their misdirected sense of patriotism, like those who fought in Vietnam, but don't honor the "cause" because that was NOT honorable. Honor them for their bravery and valor in the face of unbeatable odds; but don't dishonor them by flying symbols created by men bent on keeping others in slavery and a nation divided. Be proud of your southern heritage, but trash the notions that the Dixie Flag is not hurtful and a wedge used by those who disguise their hatred wrapped in a cloak of patriotism that shouldn't be discarded in the dustbins of history. I love the south, as I love the north and it's time we erase that line that divides us so we can fight the real enemy who wants to tear the "United States of America" apart.

It was as many have pointed out the battle flag of the north Virginian army. Adopted by Robert E. Lee when the war broke out. Also more facts. One white people didn't actually travel to Africa and kidnap anyone forcing them into slavery. It was actually black tribes selling other blacks to slave traders. The other fact that people tend to ignore is that slaves who couldn't be sold were killed by the same blacks trying to sell them. Also no matter what it is our is not, the fact is that if one wishes to see racism that is what they will see. The the I see the flag as a part of history, and I am a southerner. The biggest problem in this country ain't the southern cross. It is and always will be the fact that actual history is not ever taught in school. You want to learn about history? Go and do actual research. The other problem is that I find most of these comments are just regurgitating what one person believed to be correct. Do your own research and reside for yourself what is true and what is false. I don't fly the southern cross in my yard add I see no point in doing so. But the fact is in have allot of respect for that flag not because of what people think it means or even what I may think it means, but because it is a part of our history and because a lot of good people died underrated that banner, and not all were white. Same as the the American flag. Every flag ever raised could be said to be a racist symbol including the American flag. It is what one individual see it as.

I believe that everyone that has pride for only Anerica, can put anything on your shirt, car or any other thing. Why be so pussified on everything? If it offends you, that's your problem and your not backing up the Cival war and having pride for the South or all Anericans.
God bless America. Stop being so sensitive, while you are a hypocrit in daily life to other races and religions, here in this Beautiful Country.... Let the history alone Your just causing problems instead allowing people to ha e their rights to say what they feel.. But, don't pressure anyone to be a board your negative nancy boat your on! Just read how many other great Super Powers rose and fell in ancient history. This is the reason because they had no stable ground from the begining. You can't have your cake and steal it too. Freedoms that have come, freedoms that have never existed are gone. Only ignorance of the people is to blame and give thanks to them that pull the strings behind the curtain all along. The same pride that taught you to fly flags will eventually be extinct like dinosaurs because the teachings are a corupt way of life and those who follow that ignorance will continue to live it with a blind fold and ear plugs. If you say I have the freedom to curse right now on this post, do I really? Your probably right just do it anyways if your angry to hear the truth spoken. It's great how life works things out for people on it's own for a time and another time again until there is a balance. It's not about a flag. It's about a people. A people who don't know their roots from ancient time and call themselves according to the land they live on. Study ancient history and go deep into the lineage of peoples so you know the truth about who you are and it will set you free. Now thats freedom.
